Restaurant & Wine bar Nicolo Polo

Nicolo Polo was Marco Polo’s father, seaman and adventurer and definitely the main role model to his son. Marco and Nicolo were born on neighboring island of Korcula, one of the Croatia’s most beautiful islands, an example of charm and beauty of our region. Considering that fact we found the connection between our hotel and two of them. When we think of our hotel and restaurant we think of them as the true representatives of hospitality and gastronomy of our region which was good reason to name them after Marco and Nicolo. And of course there is a close similarity of name Nicolo to a name Nikola (our founder), which was another reason to name our restaurant “Nicolo Polo”.

Personnel and service
Our restaurant personnel like the rest of the hotel staff is at your service all the time. Under a professional leadership of our experienced management, service of our highly educated and always smiling personnel will make your stay complete. As a part of their skills it is worth mentioning that our staff speaks several foreign languages, most notably English, German, Italian, Swedish and Dutch as well as the great number of expressions and sentences in other European languages. Education of our staff is additionally completed by attending a great deal of seminars and competitions on yearly basis.

Gastronomic offer
Our restaurant offers great variety of meat and fish dishes additionally enriched with our region spices. Our creed is that every dish has its own spice that is completely unavoidable for creation of each one of our specialties. Besides mentioned our menu is completed with great variety of vegetarian dishes, rich pastas and refreshing salads. During the creation of our menu, we have also thought about kids, therefore we created an interesting and colorful Children’s menu. In order to make things more interesting and to always introduce something new, we offer two different equally delicious menus every week. Each menu is replaced by the other within the middle of the week offering new and excitingly delicious specialties. In case your favorite dish from the previous menu is not included in our second menu, please let us know and we will prepare it for you.

Besides mentioned food specialties in our restaurant, we offer you great wines with a scent of our region along with wines from other parts of Croatia. And if you ever decide to engage into a World adventure like Marco Polo once did, we will present you some finest European wines along with the ones from other continents such as Africa, Australia and South and North America. Every bottle of wine will be served at your table in a professional manner, and you can also enjoy some of those wines by a glass. To create an even greater atmosphere we organize wine tasting events, where we additionally introduce you about famous wines and their characteristics.
